We recognize that adolescent addictions are diverse, unique and complex. These addictions cannot be treated with conventional adult-oriented programs. Adolescent patients need a therapy program that is structured, yet playful, and addresses specific issues.
In 1977, we established the Adolescent Center -- the first program in Iowa and one of the first programs in the nation to provide treatment services specifically tailored to the needs of chemically dependent youth.
The Adolescent Center is an intensive, residential, primary treatment facility for adolescents (12-18 years old) with addictive disorders or addiction-related problems. The spacious facility provides plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and access to full recreational services. The 41-bed adolescent facility is located at 2101 Court Street, Sioux City.
At the Adolescent Center, teens receive a comprehensive, in-depth evaluation. Their individualized treatment plan includes intensive counseling, disease education, an accredited on-site school program and participation in a 12-step recovery program.
Upon completion of the residential program, Jackson Recovery Centers provides a full range of services to assist teens in making an easier transition to normal life. Our outpatient program allows patients to receive treatment with minimal disruption to daily life.
Many health insurance plans cover the cost of treatment. Financial arrangements and assistance are available for qualified individuals.
